Am 17.03.2007 habe ich die Domain blogschrott.net über Hetzner konnektiert. Der Spaß hat mich damals 9,16 € netto gekostet. Danach ging’s los hier mit dem Bloggen. Yannick Eckl verlegte seine Aktivitäten von seinem alten WordPress Blog mit Namen BlogSchrott.de aufs neue Blog – und eine kleine Erfolgsgeschichte begann. Seinerzeit habe ich die .net-Domain ausgewählt, weil die de-Adresse zwar auf das WordPress Blog weiterleitete, aber weder mir noch Yannick gehörte. Die .com-Adresse hatte ich ausgelassen, weil für mich Blogschrott.net netter klang 😉
Es dauerte bis Mitte 2008, dann meldete sich der erste Domainer bei mir.

Leider kann ich mich nicht mehr erinnern, was der Anbieter für die Domain haben wollte, der Kauf der Domain hatte mich nicht wirklich interessiert. Doch es ging weiter. Ein Jahr später landete dann folgende Mail in meinem Postfach:

Wieder verging ein Jahr, dann kam die nächste Anfrage. Wieder von einer anderen Stelle/Person.

Nachdem ich auf zwei Folgeangebote auch nicht reagiert habe, erfolgte 3 Tage später ein Kaufangebot von noch anderer Stelle:

Na ja, immerhin war der Preis gesunken 🙂 Zwei Monate später gings dann weiter mit dem Domain Spiel.

Damit hatte sich der Preis noch mal halbiert. So langsam kamen wir in Preisregionen an, wo man über einen Kauf nachdenken konnte. Ich musste nur eine Woche lang nachdenken, denn dann folgte die nächste Preisreduzierung.

Ein knappes Jahr später folgte dann ein neues Angebot ohne Preisangabe, natürlich wieder von einem anderen Domainservice, auf das ich wieder nicht reagierte. Und gestern war’s dann wieder mal so weit. Neue Anfrage, neues Glück. Es war Shawn, der es vor Jahren schon mal mit 195$ versucht hatte.

Jetzt reichte es mir. Ich warf die Domaintools an, schaute in die Whois Historie und musste feststellen, dass die Domain blogschrott.com mittlerweile gedroppt war. Drollig, da will mir einer eine Domain für 100$ verkaufen, die ich auch für 7,52 € direkt erwerben könnte. So konnte das ja nicht weiter gehen. blogschrott.com is coming home. Gedacht, getan. Ich hab blogschrott.com jetzt einfach direkt konnektiert und Ruhe ist.
Und was lernen wir daraus? Erstens, dass man besser hinsehen sollte, bevor man etwas kauft, was anders billiger zu haben wäre. Und zweitens, dass sich hinter den ganzen vielen Namen von Domainservice Anbietern oft die wildesten Verstrickungen verbergen und mit hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit nur ein einziger Service dahinter versteckt ist 🙂
Lustig, mir wollen diese Firmen auch ständig die Domain gerech.com andrehen, weil mir gerech.net gehört.
Die können halt nicht wissen, daß ‚gerech‘ nur zusammen mit ’net‘ als deutsches Wort gerechnet Sinn macht und man mit den Subdomains noch ein paar nette Kombinationen bilden kann, wie zusammen.gerech.net, ab.gerech.net, um.gerech.net usw.
Aber gerechcom, was soll ich damit? *tststs*
joh, abgerech.net wird am schluss 🙂 so wortspielereien bekommen die natürlich nicht auf die reihe.
